How Barcode Scanning Works

Camera Scanning

Your device's camera captures live video. The scanner analyzes each frame in real time to detect and decode barcodes, using your device's built-in detector where available for speed. Works best with good lighting and a steady hand.

Image Upload

Upload a photo containing a barcode and the scanner reads any barcode it finds. Great for screenshots or saved images. Decoding happens locally on your device.

1D Barcodes

Traditional linear barcodes like UPC, EAN, Code 128, and Code 39. Found on retail products, shipping labels, and inventory systems.

2D Barcodes

Matrix codes like QR Code, Data Matrix, and PDF417. Can store more data including URLs, text, and contact information.

为什么摄像头不能用？

光线充足、条形码保持稳定、尽量放平（不要弯曲）、让条形码占满大部分画面，并避免反光。如果模糊，可将设备稍稍远离以便对焦。

我的数据是否私密安全？

摄像头画面和上传图片仅在您的设备本地处理，不会上传到服务器。扫描历史只存在浏览器中，可随时清除。我们可能收集基本匿名使用分析，例如扫描方式、条形码格式、结果类型、查询结果和外链点击。原始条形码值不会发送到 Google Analytics。
